Our Products: Commemorative Events

By definition, “to commemorate” is a reminder of a significant event or a celebration to honor a person in history. The word “commemorate” derives from the 1630’s, short for commemorative stamp. Today we have evolved beyond commemorating an event or person just on a postage stamp. C. Forbes, Inc. for example, played a role in commemorating the previous two administration’s presidential inaugurals with portrait coins and medallions.

It has also been our privilege at C. Forbes to support commemorative events that have ranged from the 100th anniversary of the West Wing of the White House to the 200th anniversary of the United States Military Academy. Our walk with history has also taken us from the 400th anniversary of the landing at Jamestown to the upcoming 10th anniversary of 9/11.
